Bye bye 2008!

I am supposed to be packing right now, but I figured I would take a break to tell the world about my obsession with MAMMA MIA! Seriously! I have watched it over and over and over again just since last night. My husband thinks I'm crazy! The songs are super catchy, the Sophie's boy toy is super hot and the fact that Pierce Brosnan sings cracks me up!

But yeah! I'm SUPER excited because we're leaving for Dallas in the morning. We're going to hit up Cabela's and then go to dinner tomorrow night at Macaroni Grill with some of my cousins and then go to the Cotton Bowl on Friday!

But right now the hubby and I are eating some Papa Johns pizza 9my fave!) and just hanging out waiting to ring in the new year! This will be the first New Years (like, when the clock strikes midnight) that Tay and I will have actually been together. The last 3 or so years, he has always been at work! So I'm going to cut this sucker short and spend some quality married time :)

So HAPPY NEW YEAR and if you're going to be out and about, BE CAREFUL!
And shout out to my sis & TC: HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY!!!

There's only.....

5 more days 'til Christmas!!! YAAAY! I love Christmas! But seriously, who DOESN'T love Christmas?!?! Other than the whole decorating for the holidays, you know what my favorite thing about this time of year? WRAPPING PRESENTS! I know, I'm crazy, but the other day I was complaining to my mom that since we agreed with our families that we weren't to buy anyone presents, I had been kinda sad because I was going through gift wrapping withdrawals. Until yesterday. Because yesterday INSTEAD of going up to the office (yay!) I went to my bosses house and wrapped presents for our adopt a family family. I think I wrapped over 30 presents and let me tell you! I think I got my wrapping fix until next Christmas rolls around! I was there from 9 in the morning til 3:30 in the afternoon, and then we took them to our family's house. So, I pretty much was gone all day like I would have been if I had gone to the office, but I had much more fun, and I got to wear sweats!! Woohoo! Our little family was so cute too! The 2 kids and their mom were so excited and they all were so greatful. The kids even did a little speech about what Christmas is all about and they sang us a little song! It was so cute! Call me lame, but it made me all warm and fuzzy inside! :)

Speaking of Christmas and work! I only have to work a day and a half this week (Monday and Tuesday) and then I get to be on vacation until Jan. 5th!!! I'm so excited!! There's lots of crap I need to get done, so it'll be nice just to be able to run around and get things done without having to worry about work! This will be the first Christmas in a looong time that neither the hubby or I will have had to work on Chistmas Eve which is super exciting! This year we are going to The Stovall's Christmas party (which we also haven't done in a long time, due to the having to work) and Taylor is going to dress up as Santa for all the little kids! (Another "perk" to being the only ones without kids!) Not to worry! I will be sure to take lots of pictures and post them on here for all of you to see! :) I wonder what he's going to do when the little ones start to cry, especially Cady b/c I know she will cry!

Okay, since I have this new toy (my new laptop w/ webcam) I am inclined to play with it... So I took a picture of the situation in which I am blogging right now, or part of it. I am laying in bed, sandwiched between Taylor and both of the dogs.Okay, so the webcam picture didn't turn out quite as well as I'd hoped, but you get the picture... (Hahaha! get it??) :) Well, now that I have woken them both up I think it's time to let them out to go potty! Adios!!!

The Polar Express

I have realized that I am lame because I don't get on here nearly as much as a good blogger should, life has been blissfully uneventful so oh well... But! I got a new laptop this weekend (that is SUPER-FANTASTICALLY AWESOME!) and I'm about to have 2 weeks off from work, so that will allow for plenty of blogging time!
Last wednesday Taylor and I went to do the Polar Express with Heidi, Will, Hannah, Wyatt and Taylor's parents for Wyatt's birthday. After we rode the train everybody came to our house for some pizza and birthday cake that I made (the cake, not the pizza- that came from good 'ol Papa John!). It was lots of fun and it was funny to watch Wyatt wait patiently for Santa to come by and see him (If "patiently" means he asked every minute and a half if Santa was going to come back and see him after he saw Santa get on the train--which is pretty good for a 3-year old!).

Forget the cookie & hot chocolate, Hannah thought her ticket was pretty tasty!

Right when Santa got on the train

Wyatt's face when Santa got on the train at the North Pole

He was pretty excited, can you tell?

He was ALL SMILES after he talked to Santa
Hannah bein' goofy
Wyatt's cake I made
Wyatt decided to take a bite out of each fondant decoration after he blew out the candle

This week, I work all week and have the afternoon off on Wednesday because my mom is coming in town to help my sister with her 3rd grade class' Christmas party. This weekend should be pretty low-key and then I work next monday and part of tuesday and then I'll have almost 2 weeks off!!! I'm super excited! We'll be in Midland for Christmas, and then New Years Day we're leaving for Dallas for the Cotton Bowl! Woohoo!
I hope everyone is close to being done with their shopping!

Chill Time

I can't believe it's already Thursday! And while we're at it, I can't believe it's already December! Time flies! I think time goes by faster as you get older. Or at least you recognize it when you're older. Since it's been like, a week and a half since I did the whole blogging thing, I have a feeling this blog is going to be a little ADD. ;) So bear with me...

And speaking of time flies! This week, Taylor and I have been together for six years! I can't believe it! I feel old! I love my hubby! We've been through lots in the last 6 years, but I'm glad he stuck with me. I think I'll keep him around :)

My uncle was on the Today show yesterday to talk about the progress of my cousin's case. We are finally seeing some progress. The Australian court indicted Gabe and set a trial date of February 3rd, and basically if he isn't there that day (which he is supposed to) then they will start the extradition process, which who knows how long that is going to take, but we just have to keep praying!

Today was day #1 of my low carb diet! Woo woo! I really am determined to lose the weight I've gained, in the last couple of years, especially since the wedding. Tay & I pretty much finished off our pre-diet groceries and I went to Market Street yesterday and stocked up on diet food. It was kinda pricey but I really am dedicated to making it work. I found lots of good recipes on line and even some desserts, so it will make it easier. So cross your fingers that I stick to it!

My BFFAEAE Allison is coming to see me this weekend and I'm SUPER excited! She's been living in Po-Dunk, New Mexico and there's nothing to do there, especially since her hubby is going to be out of town, so we're gonna have some much overdue bonding time and do some christmas shopping and I'm going to finnagle her into helping me work on Wyatt's birthday cake if we have time! Tee hee hee.

But right now I am sleepy, so it's time to hit the sack!
Night night!

Just another manic Monday!

As I type this, I am watching my gay boyfriend dance on Dancing with the Stars GO LANCEY!!! :) Aaaand... I have to admit that I liked Brooke's freestyle better I think... And so did the judges apparently, but I still love my gay boyfriend :)

Anyway! I just found out that we have 3rd row tickets to the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game!!!! I'm super excited! So, Dad, Clayton, Taylor and I are all going to Dallas Thurday morning and coming back on Friday! It should be interesting! But fun! Oh! And my little cousins are going to SUPER jealous because the Jonas Brothers are going to be playing at halftime! Haha! Taylor's favorite band! I hope they play his favorite LAVA song! (he hadn't ever heard of the Jonas Bros. 'til we went to the lake and my cousins made sure he never forgot them! lol!) So that will be fun!

And! I was actually on TIME to work today at 7am! So that was unexpected! I even ironed my pants, did my hair, and had ALL of my makeup on BEFORE I left the house! Usually it's still making its way onto my face in the truck :) Impressive, yes, I know :)

That's pretty much it! I've got to get stuff ready for work and watch my TIVO'd John & Kate Plus 8! NIGHT NIGHT! :)

Wow. Talk about let down.

The much-talked about game that has been hyped up for 2 weeks was a TOTAL and COMPLETE let down. I'm very disappointed. And that's actually all I'm going to say about that.

But good news! I finished putting my Christmas stuff up today! "Finished" meaning all of the stuff that I currently own. I really need to get more stuff, but it's going to have to wait. ALSO! I was reminded by my Food Network watching today that one of my favorite things about the holidays is quickly approaching! CHRISTMAS FOOD NETWORK SPECIALS!!! YAAAAYYYYY!!!

This week should be a busy one, I'm actually working 7-6 Monday and Tuesday, so that oughta be a whole lotta NO FUN! Seeing as though I can barely make it to work on time when I'm supposed to be there at 8! But it's only for 2, I mean 3 days. I have to be there at 7 on Wed. too but I'm leaving around 4 because we're having thanksgiving w/ my family on Wednesday night because Dad and clayton are going to the cowboy game!

OH! AND I have more good news! But I think I have to wait until Tuesday to post anything "official"... And, I'll probably be able to elaborate more if I wait until then!

But for now, I'm gonna gather up the puppies and go to bed! Yay! I love bed! :)

Being a slacker as usual!

I haven't blogged in FOR-EVER! So here ya go! :)

The end!

Okay! Just kidding. Sooooo! Nothing really eventful has happened recently. We did go to Midland last weekend to help Taylor's parents put up their Christmas stuff since Tay's dad tore his Achilles tendon and is laid up for a while. So I mainly just played with Hannah and Wyatt (since that's what I do best) and did a little bit of shopping! I did happen to find out that while I was there, a "friend" of mine's dad was shot and killed while at Whataburger. I say "friend" because we don't really have any contact nowadays, but growing up (and again at MCS) we played softball together and her dad was actually our coach at one point in time, it's just a sad deal. I just can't imagine what they are going through, and I hope I never have to, but it makes you think about what you have and what would happen if that were taken away from you. I even saw her do a news segment I watched online, and it made me cry. It's just very, very sad.

Anyway! I can't keep thinking about that... OH! Yesterday! I went and put a BUNCH of stuff in our booth at KK's. It makes the first pic I posted on here of our booth look SUPER lame!!! K! Ready for this?

......

I seriously thought I wasn't going to have enough room to put all of my stuff! Cristin brought 2 more of her canvases (but they won't last past this weekend, I guaruntee it because those things sell like hot cakes!), luckily I had painted a couple of pieces of wood to use for shelves, so that worked out nicely. but I still need at least 3 more so that I will have more space. I'm also glad that we had enough that I could block out the lady's booth next to us, because she always puts stuff on our ledge and it's really annoying! I still need to make at least 3 different kinds of taggie blankets, and 2 wipee cases, and I wish I could do it before the weekend but I know it's not going to happen. Sis is going to Cali through the weekend for a conference, so I've been charged with dropping by and making sure the booth is orderly for the weekend. I don't know if I can handle that much responsibility but I guess I'll just have to do my darndest!

Anywho! Now that you know all of the wonderfully boring things about my booth, what else can I blog about???? OH! The hub and I might get tickets to the Tech/OU game in Norman this weekend, so that could be exciting! I put in for our bowl tickets to whichever one we make it to, so I've been pricing plane tickets and stuff :-/ Let's just say I'm hoping that Santa brings me some southwest giftcards!!!

I started putting out my Christmas stuff yesterday and brought out my box of ornaments, but am holding off putting the garland, stockings and christmas tree up until this weekend (if I dont go to the game). I just want to be in the christmas state of mind when I do it, and it doing so requires at least 50 degree weather, if not cooler! And christmas music! Definitely christmas music!

And that's about it. I figure I won't blog until next week because I have stuff I should be doing until then, and next week is a short week what with Thanksgiving and all, so I must be productive both at work and here at the casa! So!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

WOOO HOOO TECH!!!!

Soooo....

I am EXTREMELY tired! Why you ask? Well, because Friday night, we (me, Tay, and his friend Brian) went to take some stuff up to the tailgate and hang out but after walking around and going to look at the ESPN College Game Day set up, the boys got the wonderful idea that we should camp out at school so we could get up early and get in line so that we could get into the area set up for Game Day. So - that's what we did. (But not before we could go home and gather supplies!). So, to make a long story short, at about 2:30am Saturday morning we finally situated our little sleep set-up in the truck. We then woke up at 5:30am and walked from the parking lot we were in to the engineering key where they had the stage set up. We were just hanging around in the dark with a bunch (and when I say bunch I mean about 1,000 - and this was just the ones I could see, not including the ones that were around the corner of Holden Hall) of other crazy Tech fans waiting to get in and about half an hour into our venture, Taylor starts telling me that he's hungry and that I should go get us food (YEAH RIGHT!!) then at about 6:15-ish, some Game Day people started walking around handing out HOT Chick-fil-a chicken sandwiches!!! IMAGINE THAT! Then at 7 am the line started moving! We finally got in at about 7:30am which then led to another hour and a half of standing around before Game Day actually started (but they taped a couple of Sports Center segments and Corso would talk to everybody and mess around in between, so that made the time go by a little quicker). Then the actual broadcast started at 9am and lasted until 11am. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! (Even though my legs were already tired from the 6 hours of standing up I had already done and it wasn't even noon!) So we went back to the truck, got our game faces on, and headed to the tailgate til 6pm and then headed up to the stadium and the game started at 7:00pm.

SOOOOO THENNNNN, in case you didn't know, we proceded to BEAT THE NUMBER 1 UT (who is now number 4, and we are NUMBER 2!!!). Yup! I would go into detail, but most of all of you who read this (hopefully) know what happened. But I will just say I think I had an anxiety attack there at the end!

OH! And Matthew McConaughey was there, as hot as he is, if he didn't want to be subject to the home crowd (students) booing him, he should have been holed up in a suite, that's just my opinion.

So yeah, then today we gained an hour, so that was cool I guess, and I didn't woke up relatively early at 9:30 (depeding on how you look at it) then we all (Taylor, Me, Brian and Michelle) hung around and went to eat at Ruby Tequilas at 11. Then they left and the rest of my day has been consumed by cleaning house, doing laundry and ironing, but I did manage to upload my pictures from yesterday so here ya go...

It's dark at 6:00 in the morning!

One of my favorite signs, it said "Graham's My Favorite Gracker"

The sun decided it would come out and play!

There were LOTS of signs!

View of the set from the huge screen they had set up.

Bobby Knight telling the College Game Day boys how it is :)

I'm pretty sure this is right after Bobby Knight said of his TTU pick "I hope we beat their @$$"

Corso making his pick -- Putting on the RAIDER RED head!!!

GUNS UP CORSO!

One for the road.

Ready for kickoff...

WE WIN A LOT!

Me and the hubby

(please excuse the funny face/baggy eyes, I was trying to tell the girl how to work my camera and had slept 5 hours out of the past 48)

Now it's night night time! :)

It's Monday... Again.

I've noticed a trend in my blogging. I usually blog on Mondays, probably because I'm very much NOT motivated to do actual work on Mondays, which is unfortunate because I always have something I probably should be doing, but oh well...

This weekend was nice. I got off work early on Friday and got to hang out with my hubby and get some things taken care of like get his brakes on his truck fixed and our alignments adjusted on both of our trucks and my battery replaced, which in the end cost a small fortune, but was minimal in comparison to what we would have to spend later if we didn't fix it.

I also got to buy some cold-weather work clothes (since I didn't really own any!) AND a cute black pea coat! (Ashley would be so proud of me and my pea coat :) ) And I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some stuff for things to put in the booth and for the diaper cake I made for Amber's baby shower so of course I had to spend a little on the fall decor they had 50% off! I'm going back this week to get some fall-y candles b/c those are 50% off this week :) I love that place!!!

Abbie got fixed on Wednesday, so she was even more pathetic looking than usual. We're hoping that the lack in hormones will hinder her wandering-ness and help her to be able to put on a few more pounds (in addition to the obvious not going into heat part). AAAAAAND!! I had my grocery shopping done this week by this concierge service at the hospital. They'll run your errands like, take checks to the bank, get your groceries, pick up your dry cleaning, and all kinds of stuff! It's CRAZINESS!!! I LOVE it, it's AWESOME!!!

So yeah, I spent a lot of money but it was mostly on stuff we needed (minus the fall decorations, but you can't win 'em all) so I feel good about it. But it was overall a great weekend. My Red Raiders whooped up on Kansas, so College Game Day will be here on Satuday, which I'm SUPER excited about!! My Cowboys squeeked past the Bucs yesteday WITHOUT Tony Romo and Amber's baby shower went really well on Saturday (and the diaper cake was a hit too!).

I'm hoping my productivity and good fortune will overflow into next weekend. I have lots of stuff to make to put in the booth before Friday, I've got like, 5 dozen cookies to make for a baby shower my sister's helping with AND I'm hoping I get all my work done by Thursday so that I can have friday off to prepare for GAME DAY!!! GOOOOOOOO TECH!!!! :)

Helloooooo Out There!!!

I super can't concentrate today.
I have a new obsession.
I finally got the tracker on my googlepage for Tina to work and I have spent 75% of my day today just watching it. It's bad. Seriously, it's like an addiction because there are people all over the country (and from like, 4 other countries right now) that are going to the site the I created about HER! And you can watch it in real time. It's surreal. Definitely surreal.

This is not to say I don't have anything to do. Which is the bad part. My productivity today = 0 but oh well... And I know when I get home I won't be motivated too much either between being on the computer and watching DWTS, but I have plenty to do. BAH!

Tay and I went to Midland Saturday and Sunday for our niece's 1st birthday. It's the last of the 1st birthdays until we have kids, which is kind of weird but I'm kind of okay with that. It was kind of a bummer yesterday though because out of all the people (probably at least 25 adults) we were the only couple without kids or wasn't pregnant. Not that we are trying to get that way or anything, but as usual, we just kinda felt like we were out of place. And I should say that all of those people were older than us anyway, but oh well...  Anyway! So since I was kid-less, I was on camera duty, so I'll post pics whenever I get them from Mindy (I took them with her super cool camera).

Anyway! That's about it. Between feeding my latest internet addiction, my sick husband, DWTS and my house-keeping duties, I ought to stay pretty busy tonight. So I'd better pretend like I got some work done before I leave in 15 minutes! ADIOS AMIGOS!
