Okay... I've been lame...

And I haven't posted in over a week. Ah well! If you look at my 101 list, you'll see that I've been kinda busy. This weekend I painted the smurf room, made a birthday cake for my sister and a birthday card using my cricut cutter, went to Home Depot a few times and went mattress shopping.

So, I crossed painting the smurf room off the list, but I'm not QUITE finished painting b/c I need to do the top by the ceiling b/c we're not putting crown molding up in the extra bed rooms. But here's some before pics, I'll post the "afters" later. Now you see what I mean about SMURF room! When we first started working on the house, Taylor's cousin Jason was living with us and Taylor had the bright idea to tell Jason that he could paint his room whatever color he wanted. BAD IDEA! Because he came home with a MIDNIGHT BLUE looking color from Behr. He started painting it on the walls and I came home from work and saw it. I then made him mix it with white, thus the smurf color! But! It's waaay better than midnight blue if you ask me! But now, it's much better than both!

AND while I was painting the smurf room, Taylor was installing our new sink and faucet. Let me just tell you THAT was an ordeal! It literally took all weekend and about 6 different trips to Home Depot! What a pain! I love my hubby! He's such a trooper. I would have given up about an hour into it, but he kept at it, now we have a schmancy new stainless steel sink and faucet. I wish I would have taken a before of that ugly thing! It was "white" plastic. And I use the word WHITE very loosely. Between living through about 7 boys and LOTS of paintbrush rinsing (and no telling what else) that thing had seen much better (and brighter) days! That's for sure! And let me just tell you, it makes my kitchen look SOOOOOOOOOOO much BETTER!!!!

Annnd I was going to post a pic of the birthday cake I made my sister for her 25th birthday, but #1, when I load it on here, it doesn't want to turn the right way, and #2, the top icing work didn't quite survive the trip to Cagle's, but it still tasted good. And one of the girls that works there came in and told me it was really cute, so that made me feel better (and I gave her a piece of it to show my appreciation :-). Which reminds me, Cagle's is a non-chain restaurant the hubby and I hadn't ever had, so WOOHOO! Chalk another tick mark on the 101 list!

So that's pretty much it, I've been kinda busy at work the weather has been SUPER NICE (the high today and yesterday was 83)! This weekend should be pretty busy again. I'll be glad when I get caught up with all the stuff I need to get done and can actually take a weekend to relax! But that is all for now, now it's time to go night night! YAY for bed!!! TTFN! :)

CAKEBALLS!

Soooo! I made my valentines cake balls and they were DELICIOUS!
All it took was this:

And turned it into this:
They were delicious! Did I say that already?? Because they were.
I had an AWESOME Valentines day! I made the hub and I heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast (with eggs and sausage) and then I ALLOWED him to go and play golf with his buddies and I made the cake balls while he was gone. Then he came home and made me a DELICIOUS dinner of King Crab Legs, twice baked potatoes, and salad.
All in all, it was a really great weekend. I was a bum and just hung out at the house. I love doing that!
Anyway! That's about it! I don't have anything else cool going on... I'm just going to lay low again tonight and watch Secret Life of the American Teenager and finish up some laundry. I live life on the edge, I know :)

More pictures!

I don't really have anything to blog about, but it's been a whole week since my last post, SO HERE I AM!

Tay & I went to Midland again this weekend to see Taylor's family (his grandparents were in town and it was his grandma's birthday Sat.) and "give" his parents their anniversary present (the pro-pics we took a couple of weeks ago) on Sunday. But we did actually get to hang out with my parents for a while too. Tay & I went to church with my parents on sunday, then to lunch in Odessa and to the boat and RV show. The boys were looking at bass fishing boats but Mom and I were trying to convince them that we need a combo bass/ski boat. But we left with no boat. Or RV's for that matter. Boo.

So, I was bored up here at the workplace (true story) and decided to take some pictures, so here ya go! My little setup. :)

And yes, those are shoes under my desk, and unless I have to leave the office, they stay there :)

Oh! And just because I love them, here's some flowers that J got me in appreciation for letting him "crash at our pad" last weekend. Love him.

Happy Tuesday!

YAAAAAAAY Picture Time!!!

Okay! SO, remember those pictures we went home to take for the in-laws? WELL! The dude FINALLY posted them (if you want to see the rest, go here)! There are about 30 of them (of all of us), but there are only 3 of just me and the hub, which brings me to the purpose of this post.

I have REEALLY been wanting to get a GOOD pic of Tay & I framed, (and it's on my 101 list!) so all you people are going to help me choose! :)

So what will it be?!?!?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! REALLY?!?!

Defence given more time in dive death case

AAP

THE case of accused honeymoon killer Gabe Watson has been adjourned to give his lawyers and the prosecution more time to prepare.

American David Gabriel Watson, 31, was required to appear in Townsville Supreme Court today charged with the murder of his wife Tina.

He did not appear in court, but solicitor Rohan Armstrong, of his Townsville-based defence team, asked for more time.

"I have been in contact with Mr Watson ... we need more time to take further instructions on the matter," he told the court.

The Crown also requested more time, and the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

The Alabama newlyweds were 11 days into their honeymoon when Tina drowned during a dive off the Townsville coast, on October 22, 2003.

Mr Watson has since remarried in the US, and his lawyers there have already indicated they are likely to fight his extradition in the courts.
