More pictures!
Tay & I went to Midland again this weekend to see Taylor's family (his grandparents were in town and it was his grandma's birthday Sat.) and "give" his parents their anniversary present (the pro-pics we took a couple of weeks ago) on Sunday. But we did actually get to hang out with my parents for a while too. Tay & I went to church with my parents on sunday, then to lunch in Odessa and to the boat and RV show. The boys were looking at bass fishing boats but Mom and I were trying to convince them that we need a combo bass/ski boat. But we left with no boat. Or RV's for that matter. Boo.
So, I was bored up here at the workplace (true story) and decided to take some pictures, so here ya go! My little setup. :)

And yes, those are shoes under my desk, and unless I have to leave the office, they stay there :)
Oh! And just because I love them, here's some flowers that J got me in appreciation for letting him "crash at our pad" last weekend. Love him.

Happy Tuesday!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! REALLY?!?!
Defence given more time in dive death case
AAP
3 February 2009
THE case of accused honeymoon killer Gabe Watson has been adjourned to give his lawyers and the prosecution more time to prepare.
American David Gabriel Watson, 31, was required to appear in Townsville Supreme Court today charged with the murder of his wife Tina.
He did not appear in court, but solicitor Rohan Armstrong, of his Townsville-based defence team, asked for more time.
"I have been in contact with Mr Watson ... we need more time to take further instructions on the matter," he told the court.
The Crown also requested more time, and the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
The Alabama newlyweds were 11 days into their honeymoon when Tina drowned during a dive off the Townsville coast, on October 22, 2003.
Mr Watson has since remarried in the US, and his lawyers there have already indicated they are likely to fight his extradition in the courts.

TGIF!
On my birthday in 2007, my friend and I were going to get our nails done before my Bachelorette/Birthday party later that night (I was leaving 2 days later for Vegas to get hitched!) and we convinced the Hub and his cousin (who lived with us at the time) to go with us to get their dirty-man nails purdy-fied for the wedding, so all 4 of us piled into Tay's truck and Jason drove b/c it was my birthday so the rest of us had been drinking (Jason was too little) and we left. Then I discovered that I didn't have my camera and that the momentous metro-sexual moment needed to be documented, so I told Jason to turn on the next street and go back to the house (we hadn't gotten but to the street in front of our house). So, he obliged, turning on his left blinker and started to turn, ::cue weird thud/crash noise::. We all looked around and were like "What the heck was that?!" then all you see is a tumbling mass of person and motorcycle and dirt. My BFF and hubby jumped out of the truck to go check on the dude. Jason and I stayed in the truck, not knowing what the heck to do--actually, I'm pretty sure we were just frozen stuck there. ANYWAY! The moral of this story is, the dumb kid was speeding down this tiny road and trying to pass us on the left, as we were turning left and laid his bike into the front left tire of the turck and proceded to tumble into the ditch, stickers poking into his un-helmeted head & he broke his wrist, some ribs, maybe some other stuff AND got a ticket for failing to pass safely or some crap like that and has been trying to sue my husband's insurance and my "cousin in-law" for something like mental anguish, disability, and some other BS. It's really lame. OH! And I myspace-stalked this dude, and turns out he's trying to get into the Police Academy here. That's who I want enforcing the laws! RIIIIIIIIGHT!
So, Jason has to show up for some hearing on Monday, to basically say the guy is dumb and he's not going to get anything. But we'll see. I kinda wanna go so I can see the dude and tell him he ruined my 21st birthday b/c NOT ONY did we not get to go get our nails done that day but I GOT ATTACKED BY ANTS while we were waiting the hour and a half for the DPS to show up!! (And we only live about 1/3 of a mile outside the city limits! For goodness sake, the police dept. showed up LOOONG before they did)! BAH!
Anyway! So I'm playing hostess this weekend and I pretty much don't want to but oh well. It wouldn't be so bad if it were just Jason, but he's bringing his cousin, who I don't think has ever even been to Texas (she's an interesting gal, BTW, so I won't really be trying for "hostess of the year" or anything like that, b/c I'm pretty sure it wouldn't really matter to her...)
So yeah..... That's pretty much it, I'm gonna go get some random stuff done before I go so it looks like I did something productive today!
ADIOS! :)

My 101 list is finally complete and posted!
Like I said yesterday, I kinda started it last week, but I am doing it full-blown now!
And since I'm home from work today, I'm really trying to get some of the stuff done like painting the baseboards, but I know I won't get it done today, but I may be able to cross that off by the end of the weekend. So right now I have a handful of things in progress, and one completed already, but check it out for yourself and let me know what you think. I know I won't get ALL of it done, but having those things on there really motivates me to do them.
ADIOS! I'm off to be productive and hopefully warm up in the process!

Brrrrr!
Yesterday was
This is the place \/

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past — frequently simple goals such as new year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.Goal setting tips
Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
Stay Focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

Day 2 of "Running"
Yesterday (thursday) was day #2 of FAMILY running! I actually rather enjoyed it. Yes, you read that right. Although, my tune may change when we actually start hardcore running. Right now we're on Week 1 of the "training" plan that goes a little like this:
Warm up by walking for 5 minutes.
Jog for 60 seconds.
Walk for 90 seconds.
Repeat for 20 minutes.
Oh! And speaking of running, I've found what's going to be our first "real" race.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....

It seems like a ways away, but hopefully it will keep me motivated, we shall see...
But for right now I'm sleepy, and I'm looking forward to my freedom to sleep in late the next 2 days, and maybe make a couple dozen burp cloths in between sleeping stents ;)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
