For those of you who follow the "saga" (for lack of a better word) of my cousin Tina, you might get a kick out of this... So, it's been a few months (almost 5 to be exact) since the Australian coroner charged Gabe Watson with Tina's murder, which he still has not been extradited for, nor do we know when that may happen, but after all the hubbub surrounding the ruling things quite obviously settled down media-wise since then. What hardly anyone knows (unless they freakishly stalk him like my cousin, aunt and I do) is that Gabe got re-married in August (a girl named Kim Lewis if you're keeping track).

Let's just say that we have our ways and homegirl really shouldn't post pics of her and her new wife-killer husband on facebook if she doesn't want the world to know... I'm just sayin... And even though it INFURIATES me every time I think that someone could be so naieve AGAIN (which at this time around easily translates into STUPIDITY!) to marry that "Scum bag" (as Geraldo Rivera put it), it's beside the point. The point is that yesterday, I got a "Google Alert" about Tina, and it was kinda random that 5 months later, here it is, but nonetheless it kinda cracked me up. It was an article published in the Sunday Times (a London based paper) yesterday and although I have heard/seen/etc. most of it many times before, there were a couple of things that made me chuckle, for instance:
"Gabe is a man mountain, about 6ft 4in and weighing over 17 stone."
The whole article is very descriptive, and decidedly anti-Gabe (which I obviously have no problem with) and if you want to read the article in it's entirety you can go to Tina Watson: the bride who drowned at the Barrier Reef. It's kind of lengthy, but has a lot of info that really not many people know about that wasn't covered in the media like that 2 days before her funeral, with my WHOLE family at my Aunt & Uncle's house Gabe’s father came to their house demanded possession of Tina’s Jeep, wedding presents and the rest of her belongings, including the mattress that Tina had in her room -- one of the only things that hadn't been moved into the house before the wedding. Or when the funeral director and the manager called Tom aside before the services and told him that they’d been instructed by the Watson family that if he said anything or did anything – or anybody in my family said or did anything – that would in any way be against Gabe, they were to be removed from the funeral.
It makes me sad really, and even though it hurts every time I read something or see his ugly mug on the internet, it reminds me that it's not over yet, and that someday (hopefully sooner rather than later) he will get what he deserves. October 22nd will mark 5 years to the day of her death. I just hope that the authorities show up that day (or the 11th, the day they were married)at his door and take his "man mountain" self Down Under! Please keep my family in your prayers as October arrives and those dates come and go, please pray for strength and patience for my Aunt Cindy, Uncle Tom, cousin Alanda and her precious little family and although we will never understand why he did it, that hopefully soon they will find comfort in the fact that even though it will never bring Tina back, he will pay for what he did.
