Top Things Annoying me RIGHT NOW list:

  • The roofers slamming 30 lb. packages of shingles on my roof
  • The banging that accompanies the installation of said shingles
  • That it is inevitable that there will be a hole in my roof by the end of the day and that I will severely injure someone when that does happen.
  • The ridiculous amount of job interviews I have had and then not hearing anything back
  • Job searching in general. SOMEBODY GIVE ME A JOB ALREADY!
  • My current job. I loathe it.
  • People. Yes, I said people, my mother was right, I am indeed NOT my normal cheery self lately. Sue me.
  • The fact that the painters that started painting the outside of the house 3 weeks ago haven't been back to finish. And they have my paint. I'm starting to get pissed.
  • People who lie/make up excuses.
  • Oh! And while we're at it - wishy washy people!

And we will end this post with Kendra's word of the day:

REALLY?!?!?!

That is all.

Busy, busy, BUSY!

Soooooo... I have gotten out of the whole blogging thing lately, honestly I kind of forgot, my mind has definitely been other places. Especially right now because for some reason my house won't cool off and it's 87 degrees in the joint, so I'm pretty much a sweaty pig, but at any rate! Here I am! We just finished up getting new flooring installed throughout the entire house and now we're in the midst of getting the outside painted! No more pink house!!!! YYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!! It is now a much less eye-catching grey, but I like it that way!

This last week has been especially hectic! Cristin and Turney went to KK's craft mall and got Sis and I a booth for our little business, so we had to make MULTIPLE shopping trips to purchase supplies for our craftiness! It's fun, but to get it up and running has been a bit of a challenge, especially since we only had a couple of days to get some stuff in the booth (you have to have a certain amount of stuff in your booth at all times :-/)
That's our booth so far, but like I said, we had very limited amount of time, so there will be lots more out there Monday. I took today and tomorrow off from work so that I could produce some goods like good trained monkeys should :) And I like doing this which makes it easy. I wish I could quit my job and just do this. I was very close to getting up and walking out of work a couple of times this week, but I have to last til I find another job or when Taylor graduates, whichever comes first...

Yesterday was especially productive though! I was supposed to go into work @ 7am, but I was cancelled, so I got up when Tay went to work at 7:30 and did 8 bajillion things around the house! I was like on OCD overdrive or something! I was very impressed with myself! I moved a whole bedroom of furniture around by myself, and put together that room and the other extra bedroom AND the office, put Cutter's tractor together, made some burp rags and a new pink paci for Cady, did the dishes from baking Cutter's birthday cake and did a massive amount of laundry (which I've decided that when I get my "real job" I'm going to hire a maid to come and do my laundry, the dishes, dust and vaccum once a week. I would be in HEAVEN! I LOATHE those things!

Tay and I just got back from Midland. Today is our nephew's 2nd birthday, so we left LBK last night for M-town and came back so Taylor could be back at work by 4. It was definitely a quick trip. I hate quick trips. But nonetheless, we had fun with the kids, Wyatt was all excited when we got to Tay's parents house last night. Apparently all he could talk about yesterday was Tay Tay and KK coming, it made us feel good. :)

The Boys on their tractors, I put the red one together all by myself!

I can't believe that it's already July! I don't really pay all that much attention to the passing days anymore now that I'm not counting down to anything anymore! Probably from March '07 until this May, I was counting the days until thing such as wedding festivities, the wedding, graduation, Mexico, and other random things. But now it doesn't really matter, and I can't decide if I like it better that way or not... But nonetheless, I still can't believe it's July! Aaaand! I'm excited that we are planning on going to the Lake next month to hang out with my aunt and uncle and cousins and go to one of my cousin's wedding. I'm excited, I like little getaways like that. Especially when it comes to the lake! I used to be a lake rat when my grandma had a lakehouse near Houston, so it will be nice to get out on the Sea Doo again!

Anyway! I'd better get back to my trained monkey ways, but I leave you with pictures! Those are always fun, right?

School's out forEVER!

It's a good feeling knowing that I have no more papers to write, no more tests to study for, no more classes to go to. Life is good. Now if I could only get a job... But no worries, this time next week, I will be on the beach in Mexico!

March for Babies

Here is the one and only picture I got from our March of Dimes walk last weekend, I would have gotten more but the boys took off without us! Boo! And Lori (our black lab) went with us. She had a blast, she got to play fetch in the pond (her favorite!) and be around a bunch of people. She had so much fun in fact that she passed out in the truck and slept the rest of the day! Haha!

Lori in the truck after her big day at the park

I have my last final tomorrow and hopefully should hear back from B. Dihenia this week. (The position with him turned out to be a Marketing/Community Education position which I am THRILLED about considering it's what I got my degree for!) so keep your fingers crossed! And graduation is less than a week away! Wahoo! :) Can't wait! Then we leave for Mexico a week from tomorrow!

Well, I'd post more and what not but I have my final final to study for! :)

Just another day...

Today was a good day! I had a spanish test which surprisingly, I think I did well on, came home, did a little spanish homework and did pretty much nothing until Taylor started grilling in the backyard. I take that back, I was actually doing something for a few of those hours! Taylor convinced me that we needed a new computer, so we went and got a new HP desktop on Sunday and I really like it! It's got Windows Vista and a DVD burner and little places to put different memory sticks from cameras and what not and it has all sorts of memory so I'm pretty pumped about it. First a new dryer, then a new camera, now a new computer! Lots of things are new and exciting lately!!! I wonder what's next! The new-ness keeps increasing substantially! :D (Which I shouldn't get too excited, because we do pay for it all...)

Anyway! Brian and Michelle's wedding was BEAUTIFUL! We had fun in the short time we were there! I have the rest of this week and next week left of my internship but will have to work on my portfolio to turn in the following week, then I'm done with that, so that's exciting, and I think that if I go one more day without hearing about ANY of the 8 bajillion jobs that I have applied for, I think I may scream!

So that's pretty much it, so I think I'm going to head to bed, but for now I leave you with a pic of me and my SUPER STUDLY husband from the wedding!

Dum da dum...

So... I should be being productive once again, but apparently I have a problem with that, so I'm just sitting here on the computer. I did however do laundry and make margaritas tonight! Haha... Real productive...

We're almost done with the house! All we have left before we can tackle the floors are our bedroom and bathroom and the laundry room! I can't wait to have it all done! This weekend, Taylor is taking one of his friends camping along with a bunch of other guys for his friend's bachelor party and I am heading to Midland for his fiance's bacherlorette party and to hang out with the family.

Easter was good. We went home to Midland Saturday night and came back Sunday afternoon. Another one of those quick trips but oh well, what can you do when you're the only ones who don't live in Midland? The kids were ADORABLE! But then again, they always are. I took some pics with my new camera!!! Woohoo for that lovely little thing!

The job search still hasnt produced anything concrete yet, but it's only March and I have applied/submitted my resume for 8 jobs, so we shall see, surely out of 8 prospects you would think I could land one of them!

Anyway, I'd better hit the sack.

Nighty night!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I am soooo FREAKING excited!!!! We booked our trip to MEXICOOOOO!!!! I seriously cannot even convey how excited I am!!!! We are staying at the Hotel Marina El Cid. It is Puerto Morales (not far from Cancun) and is All Inclusive! We went with the "Platinum Club" Package which includes:

  • Guaranteed Ocean Front or Ocean View accommodations
  • Top-of-the-line extra comfort beds and linens
  • Dedicated check-in and checkout areas
  • Reservation of palapa huts on the beach
  • Butler service
  • Welcome fruit & wine basket.
  • Guaranteed reservations in the specialties restaurants.
  • Late checkout (3:00 PM), subject to availability.
  • Special turn down service with hors d’oeuvres and petit fours.
  • Room aromatherapy menu.
  • Complementary access to the Platinum Club (beverages, snacks, fruit, Internet access, TV, newspaper and books.)
  • In room amenities include:
    Bathrobes and slippers
    Umbrella
    Beach bag
    Scale

Yeah! So freaking excited!

So... In other news (which is not quite as exciting if you ask me) we started working on the storage room and the extra bathroom. We're not doing anything impressive with the storage room, just texturing it and painting it white and hopefully getting rid of some stuff that we'll never use that has taken up habitation in that room. The extra bathroom is going to be a really light yellowy-tan-ish color. It's not ::really:: yellow, just REALLY light tan. Oh! And we're going the laundry room, which I mixed some of the colors that we already had and made a really pretty light blue-y color. I love it! Very clean, which I would think would be ideal for a laundry room.

Right now Taylor and some of his buddies from work are playing poker and I'm chillin in the office workin on the trip and fartin' around... We still have to get our Passports, but we're going to get our pictures done tomorrow and then we have to get our Birth Certificates from the parents this weekend, then I'm thinking we will go monday or tuesday to submit it all.

Oh! And the waaay cool camera that I already thought was totally awesome has gotten even cooler! I took it to work with me for my big and exciting ::hint of sarcasm:: 12 hour day on Sunday and played with it with Sara and all the other peeps, turns out it does all sorts of fun color switching and altering stuff! I am IN LOVE!

Anyway! I'm tired, so I think I'm going to go to sleep! But I'm so excited!!!! EEEEeeeekkkk! :D

So Busy...

As I sit down to vent, ER, I mean type on this thing, I've come to realize that I keep myself so busy so that I don't have time to sit down and think about how much stuff I really need to do! I was going to talk about how my "Real Job" hunt has officially begun and how I hope I get one of the two jobs that I am trying for right now and that they will fit my needs salary and description wise... I have my hand in so many jars right now I think I could explode! At any given moment I am:
  • Attending/doing homework/studying for any of my 16 hours worth of classes
  • Working on my 300-hours worth of internship including my research project or up at the hospital rounding
  • Working at the hospital
  • Making the rounds at the hospital for the March of Dimes fundraiser I became involved in
  • Trying to raise money for our March of Dimes walk
  • Working on the house
  • Cleaning the house (and although this should just fly out the window at this point b/c we ARE working on the house and we're not expecting any "house guests" or family visits any time soon, it still bothers the HOUND outta me!)
  • Oh yeah! And lets not forget, TRYING TO FIND A REAL JOB!

Let me just say that I cannot be more ready to be done with school. The fact that I am {this close} to being done with school forever (if I choose not to go back, which I am not even entertaining that thought at the moment) is CRAZY EXCITING! There are probably not many people in this world that would say that they would rather just hurry up and get out of college and get into the real world, but that is me! I have put in my time and am ready to move up and out!

Anyway! That's about it for tonight, and probably for the next couple of weeks actually. After tonight, I don't have another night off 'til next Tuesday, and I will probably be passed out hoping to gain enough energy to sustain me for my 56-hour work week I have in store for me next week while everyone else is in Vegas or out at the beach or skiing someplace during Spring Break. But! It is for a good cause! Because the more OT I get, the closer I am to going to Mexico!!!!!

TTFN!
